Two flights that start in Mürren and one over Interlaken, with live prices and availability.
The Mürren flight
The CHF 199 flight meets in front of the Schilthorn cable car station in Mürren, at the flag of the flight school. The whole outing takes about one hour,. A helmet and a loan jacket are provided; bring closed sturdy shoes, layers and a small bag. The ride up to Mürren and photos are not included. The photo and video package costs CHF 40, which brings the total to CHF 239.
The weight limit is 90 kg, or 95 kg for people taller than 5 ft 11. No flying experience is needed. Pregnancy, recent injuries or operations and heart problems rule out a flight.
The panorama flight over the valley
The CHF 190 panorama flight meets at the Mürren cable car station in the ticket area. The flight itself takes 20 to 25 minutes and the whole programme about two hours. Pilot, briefing, liability and accident insurance are included; the gondola up and the transfer to the meeting point are not.
Minimum age is six years and the weight range is 30 to 115 kg. You need to be able to run 10 to 15 metres at the start. Passengers above 90 kg fly at 11:20, 13:20 or 15:20 only. Strong wind or rain can stop a flight, in which case you are offered another day, another launch site or a cancellation.
The Interlaken flight
The CHF 170 flight is the cheapest with the transfer to the launch site included. Plan 1 to 1.5 hours in total. Standard weight is 30 to 90 kg, and children under 16 need a guardian's consent. A film and photo service is not part of the price.
Which flight fits you
Choose the Mürren flight at CHF 199 for the shortest outing and a start from the village. Choose Interlaken for the lowest price. Book early in your stay: a flight can be moved to another day if the wind is wrong.
